FOR STUDENTS:Students may see the counselor for small group and individual counseling to assist with a variety of concerns and problems, including:
* Problem Solving * Friendship Conflicts * Social Skills *Setting goals * Self esteem * Adjusting to a new school * Academic Improvement * Study Skills * Decision Making * Managing emotions (stress, worry, anger, etc.) * Dealing with peer pressure and bullying * Divorce * Grief and loss * Crisis Intervention |
FOR PARENTS:Parents are free to call the counseling office at any time for a meeting if you have academic, social, or personal concerns about your child.
The school counselor will help to arrange parent-teacher conferences, small group or individual counseling, as well as, outside referrals for intervention. ** Please Note ** School Counselors do not provide "therapy" or traditional counseling. Referrals for outside counseling services are available for children experiencing grief, divorce, family separation, deployment, or mental health concerns. |
